2015 “LOVE IS IN THE AIR” HEART BALL PRESENTED BY THE FRIEDKIN GROUP AND LEXUS BENEFITING AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION SET FOR FEBRUARY,14 AT THE HILTON AMERICAS

 

WHAT:           Please join the American Heart Association for the most anticipated yearly event, the 2015 Heart Ball by The Friedkin Group and Lexus, this year themed “Love is in the Air.” This elegant occasion will gather business leaders, professionals, philanthropists, and other community members to raise funds, build passion and celebrate the commitment to fight heart disease and stroke. The annual black tie event will consist of cocktails, dinner, dancing and a live auction.

 

Heart disease and stroke — the nation’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers — and all other cardiovascular diseases, claim more than 811,000 American lives a year.  The American Heart Association’s goal is $1.5 million for the 2015 Heart Ball. Research funded by the American Heart Association has yielded or contributed to many important innovations such as CPR, life-extending drugs (including clot-busters), pacemakers, bypass surgery, the heart-lung machine and surgical techniques to repair heart defects.

 

WHO:     American Heart Association, the organization dedicated to building healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke, the nation’s No. 1 and No. 5 causes of death.

WHY:              Heart disease and stroke — the nation’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers — and all other cardiovascular diseases, claim more than 800,000 American lives a year.  The American Heart Association’s goal is $1.5 million for the 2015 Heart Ball. Funds raised support research, education and various programs to fight heart disease and stroke. Second to only the federal government, AHA is a key funder for cardiovascular and stroke research contributing more than $10 million in current funding to the Texas Medical Center.
